Hi I’m Mat,
I absolutely LOVE food, sport, gin and coffee. I’m also father to my 12 year old son, Leo.
From a young age, I was always into my sports and loved anything related to fitness. I have completed 6 marathons, 3 half marathons and have just completed my first fitness photoshoot.
After numerous dead end jobs, I had an epiphany and decided it was time for me to find a career that I was passionate about.
I became a Lifeguard and studied my level 2 Fitness Instructor NVQ alongside. Once I had passed my level 2, I was then promoted to Senior Lifeguard and began studying my level 3 Leisure Management NVQ. I was then promoted again to Duty Manager upon my Level 3 completion. That's when I got my shot at the Level 3 Personal Training qualification. It was a long year of studies but I eventually passed my exams and was raring to build my new life as a certified personal trainer.
I started my first job as a full time personal trainer and spent the next year coaching both semi privately as well as one to one, sometimes up to 12 hours per day. However I reached a point where a lot of clients that I was coaching on a semi private basis were struggling the other 98% of the time they weren’t at the gym. That’s when I decided to start building my online coaching business to affect bigger change.
I’ve spent the last few years building my knowledge, my business and my coaching systems to ensure I’m bringing my clients the best tools and knowledge possible to help them achieve their goals. I have most recently become a pn1 certified exercise nutritionist with Precision Nutrition - home of the world's top nutrition coaches.
There is always more to learn and I will continue to do so, to enable me to help as many people as I possibly can.
Despite my unintentional ‘resting bitch face’ from time to time, I’m very friendly and approachable. So, if you have any questions about your own health and fitness journey, feel free to drop me a message :)
I’m looking forward to helping you look and feel better than ever before.
Thanks.
